2020 Southeast Summer Invitational July 18th & 19th, 2020
Tournament Update - Change of Date and Location
Following North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper's update on the state's stay-at-home policies and plans to introduce a 3-Phase program where restrictions can be gradually lifted we have decided to move this year's Southeast Summer Invitational to July 18th & 19th at Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia, SC.
The Southeast Invitational Staff believes that the safety of all participating players, coaches, officials and families remains our highest priority. As much as we'd prefer to begin to see lacrosse return to a "normal" summer schedule, we must proceed with caution so that we can host programs to the best of our abilities and in the safest manner. Our goal in being early to move our event is to help participants in planning. This removes some of the uncertainty around the event and we believe it will help you in your planning instead of continuing to wait.
We expect these changes will draw increased demand for the event as more June events get cancelled, moved to mid-week dates or into August. Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns or requests for more information by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 2020 Southeast Summer Invitational, a US Lacrosse Sanctioned Event, offers a fun and competitive experience for players 8U through High School. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games with all games held on the lighted fields of the Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia, SC. Map It!
A US Lacrosse Sanctioned Event:
This event is part of The US Lacrosse Sanctioning Program, which provides best practices for tournament operators in order to create a more safe and consistent event. Through the adoption of the Sanctioned Tournament Standards, tournaments commit to providing the best possible lacrosse experience.
US Lacrosse Sanctioning is a designation given to events that have adopted a set of operational and safety standards set forward by US Lacrosse. These tournament standards are a set of best practices that cover five main areas of an event: game format, venue, risk management, event administration, and certified officials. When these best practices are adopted in their entirety, events create a more positive experience for participants.
A Sanctioned Tournament has met a set of operational and safety standards to guarantee a consistent playing environment. Coaches, parents, players and all other event attendees will know what to expect from each event:
